PETCO Animal Supplies
Millenium Store
Headed up the Store Planning & Visual Presentation groups and managed all aspects of the development and integration of the company's industry defining new prototype store design. This store design became the model for all future new stores(60 stores/year) supporting various real estate and merchandise assortment and branding requirements and achieved an 18% comparable store sales and a 5% Gross Margin increase in first full year.
Teamed with senior management to initiate store remodel program and manage all cross department functions (corporate) and store support. Supervised the corporate office teams responsible for store fixture plans and merchandise floorplans (new and remodel stores) to optimize catagory assortments and "in-store" Visual Presentation and signing standards.
Responsible for all store fixture(metal, wood, wire, plastic) and millwork design, specifications and installation. Developed and successfully executed annual G&A and CAPEX budgets. Oversaw development of Visual Presentation Best Practices & Standards for 500+ stores.
Toys R Us - Concept 2000
A member of the company's Prototype Committee who assumed the lead role in directing the company's remodel program. Specific responsibilities were directed at managing all corporate cross functional departments relating to integrating the new store design and merchandise presentation to support implemenation at store level.
Developed and instituted a BEST PRACTICES project manual to coordinate all corporate office department support functions and site specific project schedules. Coordinated the design of millwork components (Cash Wraps, Service Desks) to optimize ergonomic effeciency, high margin "add-on" sales and front end operations.
Responsible for store fixture plans, project phasing plans/schedules, labor hour budgets, vendor management, various in-store merchandising programs and catagory linear footage analysis.
Barnes & Noble College Booksellers
Delivered Project Management Services overseeing the Due Diligence, Design, Entitlements, Landlord/Base Building Work, Construction, Store Fixture Installation, Interior & Exterior Sign Installation, Government Inspection Approvals and Project Closeouts to support the growth and brand expansion.
Developed schedules and budgets up to $1.7M for a diverse group of niche new and remodel store projects including traditional college bookstores, Town & Gown college bookstores, college bookstore cafés and stadium team shops.
In conjunction with the "brick and mortar" store work, I collaborated on various marketing projects where Barnes & Noble College was awarded new business and increased market share.
